Paul Simon announces North American tour, new album expected this spring

Paul Simon has mapped out an extensive North American spring tour, his first such solo outing in over four years.

The trek, which kicks off in April at the New Orleans Jazz Fest, comes ahead of his newly unveiled album, Stranger to Stranger, as Rolling Stone points out. The follow-up to 2011’s So Beautiful or So What is expected to drop in the coming months.

Along with stops in Nashville, Portland, Los Angeles, and Boston, the tour will see Simon return to his childhood neighborhood for a gig at Forest Hills Stadium. The last time he’d performed at the venue was back in 1970 alongside Art Garfunkel.
