West Germany’s tumultuous political and cultural landscape in the 1980s is the focus of “Singularity”, the new music video from New Order.
Edited together by Damian Hale, it features archived footage from B-Movie, a documentary chronicling electronic musician Mark Reeder’s time spent in West Berlin. Hale, who provides the visuals for the band’s live shows, selects scenes highlighting the time period’s violent protests, rebellious youth, underground music scenes, rampant nudity, and more.

“Singularity” is off New Order’s first album in a decade, Music Complete.
In continued support of the LP, the band is set to come stateside next month for a handful of dates before hitting Europe’s festival circuit. Head here for their upcoming itinerary.
