How Nappi Hour Is Changing The Black Happy Hour Scene in Chicago

In January 2017, Nappi Hour was launched by AFROTRAK as a place for "US" to "come let your hair down after work" in Chicago. And it may be carving it's niche.

After two months of successful turnouts, Nappi Hour may be on to something. What makes Nappi Hour unique is its ability to draw a crowd to the dance floor between the hours of 5-9p.m. Sometimes you want to go out, but want to avoid late nights at clubs or buying bottles. With Nappi Hour, the party starts as soon as you're off work, and you're home and in bed before midnight.

 The music selection is centered around Afrobeats, Reggae, Hip Hop and other classic Black music.  On average, the event draws a crowd of 200 Black millennials, Africans and those who identify somewhere in between. Check out the recap from last month's Nappi Hour below.
